I'm a retired landscape designer and artist living in Oakland, California. I walk my springer spaniel and make watercolor paintings in the hilly open space bordering our fair city. Sometimes I leave the dog at home and paint with other like-minded folks. I also like making bird portraits, which fall into two categories: Birds with Attitude and Endangered Beauty. The former is self-explanatory. The Endangered Beauty series includes birds on the Federal Endangered List or birds considered Species of Special Concern.
