Creeping toward abstraction

Using Inktense watercolor pencils in combination with watercolors.  What a blast! Pumped up my color intensity a notch. Now I learn that Inktense aren't lightfast.  Curses! Do I care that my originals will fade and lose their vibrancy?  Yes .  .  .  and no.

Brooklyn bound

Four months and 29 monochromatic paintings later, my sketchbook is on its way to the Brooklyn Art Library. All the books, submitted from around the world for this year's Sketchbook Project, will tour the country (including San Francisco) beginning in April. After the tour, they'll be archived on line and available to the viewing public in the collection of the Brooklyn Art Library.
